Fairies and Bowling

This year I have been totally obsessed with crowns. It has evolved from paper crowns, to fabric, lace and ribbon and now wire tiaras.

We have a pretty busy weekend coming up. Saturday we're crashing the fairy festival at Summers Past Farms with Nellie and Charlie, and this little sweet pea tiara is just a little taste of what she'll hopefully be wearing (if it's not too scratchy!) We've got a little fairy garden to enter in their fairy landscape contest, and then a fashion march to show off their outfits. The girls have been looking forward to this for a few months now, so hopefully it's a good time.

This is a mix of wire, a metal headband, fabric/knit, paper and glitter, a couple sparkles, and I think I like it!

.... and I think she likes her fairy tiara.

Sunday is Nellie's big birthday 'bowl-a-rama' with all her classmates, so naturally a birthday princess must have a birthday crown.

She had requested a 'baby picture' to be added to it... so I hope it's 'baby' enough for her.

The ribbon makes it adjustable to any head, and elastic can also be substituted for it. I have a few boy crowns in the works too!

These are lots of fun, and adds a little flair to any occasion.

Stay tuned for a tutorial on the wire tiaras... I'm hoping to get to it after the BIG weekend ahead. We are also planning to have a few fabric crowns available at the Sweet 'n Sassy event coming up this Thursday, June 10th.

We're planning on revealing the rest of the fairy outfits after the weekend, so stay posted.

Have a good weekend!
